There are different treatment of periodontitis, by surgical or non-surgical. Since each case is different, the best way to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each is to discuss with his dentist. Whatever the chosen treatment, its long-term success depends entirely on maintenance will be done thereafter. Studies have shown that impeccable hygiene and good scaling every three months provide the best prognosis.
Prevention
