Impetigo, a common ailment in children
This often superficial infection of the skin is usually due to staphylococci, or streptococci. Often involves normal children and adults with health problems.
As usual, is that the bacteriological cultures reveal Coagulase positive, B hemolytic streptococcus group A, or both. It also strains of Streptococcus impetigo occur, especially in tropical areas.
The disorder often affects exposed skin, especially hands and face. It begins as a red stain, which quickly follow multiple small pustules. When this is broken, erociones appear to be shallow cover of dried whey, which gives them the appearance of clinical symptoms "honey-colored scabs."
If the crust is not removed, new lesions were formed around them, can produce a large involvement of the epidermis.
