Diabetes and periodontics
Cases of diabetes are frequent in the dental practice. Several studies have analyzed the relationship between diabetes and periodontal disease. In general, diabetes tripled the risk of destructive periodontal disease.
Diagnosis
As you can see, periodontitis must be taken seriously. Fortunately, it is relatively easy to diagnose. First, X-rays to determine bone loss. Then, thanks to the survey peradventure, we can see the deep pockets to assess the stage of disease progression. The index reflects the bleeding and inflammation indicates the degree of disease activity. Finally, it may happen that old fillings overflowing and hinder the passage of dental floss. They must be corrected to avoid the accumulation of plaque.
